That Spring Feeling
I don't know about all of you, but I am so ready for warmer temperatures! Don't get me wrong, this winter really wasn't that bad, especially compared to last years... But I still can't wait to go outside without worrying about a coat and socks. I love bare feet, warm breezes, sunny walks and swinging summer dresses... and don't even get me started on the spring and summer flowers!!! All the heart eyes for ranunculus (pictured *my favourite*), juliet roses and later on in the summer dahlias and peonies! These are by far my four favourites, but I just love them all.
One day it is my goal to keep a little green house in our backyard, but as you know it can't be an all around the year project when you live in Canada. I still would love to have that little glass box of pretty space just for me. Who knows, maybe I'll have a little helper who will love plants as much as me. We'll have to wait and see what her personality turns out to be. :) I could blah blah blah all day about plants and flowers but I am no expert by any means. However I'd like to be someday, at least in a hobby sense not as a profession.
There are so many other great things about warmer weather which I mentioned. On Wednesday it was warm enough to take Sophie out in the stroller for a walk with my grandma around our home town and neighbourhood. With all my free time on maternity leave it is going to be awesome to make this a weekly tradition for the summer months! I really need to stay active, Netflix is consuming me... It is so much fun walking all the streets around us, looking at different neighbourhoods I didn't even know existed. Two more highlights of the warmer months upcoming, ALL THE FESTIVALS and the Christie's Antique Show!
Also, my parents have made a tradition since I was little of taking us on one day road trips to different places near us. Such as Port Dover, St. Jacob's, and Niagara On The Lake. There are others but these are the big ones for me. I hope that we will continue this tradition with Sophie in the years to come, it's such a fun day spent with family and of course amazing food!!
Well, thanks for listening to me blab about my excitement yet to come and if you get a chance this summer, go on a road trip somewhere fun! And take lots of pretty pictures! You could make an amazing memory to share with your loved ones! ;) xoxo Georgina
