Labour Day Niagara Falls Trip

 

On Labour Day this year we decided to take the girls to Niagara Falls! They have never been to see the falls or Clifton Hill so it was very exciting! We went to the butterfly conservatory first, which was lots of fun. The big atrium was completely filled with beautiful butterflies!! After that we went for a walk to get some lunch and tour the flower gardens. We also walked to the edge of the escarpment which was so neat. It was a VERY hot day, so we drank lots of water and took things slow. The girls wanted so badly to jump into the giant water fountain and I don't blame them... After all that, we drove closer to the Falls and walked down Clifton Hill where all the excitement is, it's like a theme park! It is such a busy place, people everywhere... crowds are not my thing. We ended our outing at one of the arcades which I think the girl liked the best. Then we bought some lollipops from the candy store and drove home. What a fun and exhausting day! We were thankful for the PA Day at school the next day so we got a day to relax and get ready for the first day of school. All in all an awesome memory that I hope they will take with them. xoxo Georgina

Sophie's 8th Birthday!

At the end of August we got to celebrate yet another birthday for our oldest daughter Sophie! This year she requested a Hatchimals birthday, and it was hard to find decorations for that but when in doubt check Amazon!! We had two family parties at our house, one with Adam's family on Saturday night, and the other with my family on Sunday afternoon. Both parties were so much fun and made Sophie feel so special and loved. I am so thankful to have family close by. Sophie's two favourite meals right now are lasagna and hamburgers, so I made lasagna on Saturday night and we had a BBQ with hamburgers and hotdogs on Sunday afternoon. A full weekend with lots of food and laughter! Now onto preparing for Violets upcoming birthday in October... xoxo Georgina

Just checking in...

 

Hey everyone! What strange weather we have been getting for this time of year. I remember last year on Family Day weekend we had a ton of snow and went tobogganing with family. This year its in the double digits! I know... I'm talking about weather, we are always talking about the weather because it's what's interesting about one day to the next haha.

Well what makes me most happy is when the sunshine comes beaming into my house in the morning and then gradually goes from the front half of the house all the way around my the back end. It definitely raises my mood first thing!

I hope everyone has a great long weekend, we are spending it relaxing at home and I am getting to know our new computer!! Finally a computer that works well and does what I need to do,  it's been like 10 years!
