Home Tour: Living Room (After)

Hello again! Well, this winter has taken a lot out of me, inspirational wise I mean. It can be hard to find colour and beauty in such a dreary, dark and messy weathered time of the year. It sometimes gets me down and all I do is stay inside and watch movies...
Well, lately the sun is staying out longer and the days are seeming a bit brighter, despite more and more snow and freezing temperatures (-25...)! So I have been trying to keep myself busy inside our house, working on small projects and trying to get this house to my happy standards. I know it's going to be a long time until it is fully what I want it to be, but some rooms are looking up!

I decided to share our living room update with you, and it seems to be the most colourful room which makes me happy! The two pink chairs (I did not do this on purpose!) are new to us in this house. The smaller one I got at Value Village, and the bigger one with Quorra on it is from Adam's grandmother, huge coincidence that they are exactly the same colour! I was hoping to find a mustard yellow one eventually, but we'll see what happens. I usually find what I'm looking for when I'm not looking for it. Happen to anyone else?

As you all know from my Instagram feed, I love plants and flowers and think that they are the best decorating tool! I am bringing Spring early inside, and can't wait for the snow to leave so we can do some gardening for the first time outside.
